Rigid Rail Systems
Apex Height Safety Ltd provides rigid rail systems where narrow walkways and / or limited ground clearances mean that traditional cable-based systems are unfit for purpose. Our rigid rail systems are commonly used by the transport and utilities industries, where a potential fall must be arrested in a very short stopping distance, reducing the severity of any fall related injury.
The rail system, unlike that of a cable-based system have little or no deflection when loaded due to the closed profile and rigid construction. This also helps with the resilience to the accumulation and build up of dirt making it ideal for demanding environments.
The rail system can be designed for use as fall restraint, fall arrest and suspended access applications. They can accomodate multiple users and installed upto 12m spans.
Fitted with a wheeled glider, the rigid rail system provides the operative with a truly hands-free experience and can slide smoothly along the fixed rail.
