Advancements in 3D computer modelling, technical performance and the use of lightweight structures have collectively enabled the architects and building designers of today to create buildings of an increasingly complex nature.

Subsequently, traditional access methods for building maintenance and repairs have become obsolete or at the very best, financially inefficient.

As a result, less obtrusive and lightweight monorail systems have since been developed which can be utilised alongside various removable suspended access equipment, combined with rope access techniques. This has ensured that regardless of the size or shape of the building, complete access to every building façade is now possible.

Although façade access is unlikely to be achieved using a single system, Apex Height Safety Ltd combines various travelling gantries, ladders, abseil systems and lightweight platforms to ensure the maintenance of all façades and related areas can be completed safely.
